NGONGOTAHA SPRINGS
MAY 2022
Te rotorua-nui-a-kahumatamomoe, better known as rotorua, is the centre of maori culture and a hotspot of geothermal activity. Tourisim industies and covid-19 has forced the tight maori communities apart in rotorua. Community centres are replaced in favour of attractions and more profitable programs. The healing properties of the hot springs in the area has long since been a way for the local maori community to connect and share cultural traditions. This project proposes a communal bath-house to restore and establish cultural relatioships and education.

AUG 2023
Night markets, with their kaleidoscope of colors, aromas, and activities, have become emblematic of vibrant city life. Beyond their role as cultural hubs, night markets have the potential to serve as catalysts for promoting nighttime safety and reducing crime rates while simultaneously providing valuable economic opportunities for the community.
This project is located in Chinatown, New York city, and incoporates cross-disciplinary methods of research and data collection.

THE SINKING SHELTER
DEC 2021
Coral is the most common ocean shelter. it’s vital for many creatures, but its population is declining due to human activities. what’s more, when the sea level rise above cities, the impervious material is not suitable for corals and related creatures.   Therefore I’m proposing a shelter that can decompose under the sea. It’s a shelter for man on the land, but when it sinks, it will become the shelter for the sea.

VILLA CHIAROSCURO
AUG 2020
Latvia. The country’s buidling styles have long since changed, but this project aims to preserve and replicate the simplicity and minimalisim seen in historically exisiting vernaculars. Furthermore, the influence of Leonardo Da Vinci’s artistry has been a major part in the design of the villa. He is often known as the father of the renaissance, one of the earliest art styles to emerge, and as an homage to the art studio part of the villa, his painting ideologies were utilised as a basis to the design in hopes that the occupants of the villa will be reminded and inspired by his legacy.
