WORK EXPERIENCE

Gensler Research Institute Fellow Summer 2024

  • The Gensler Summer Fellowship is a research-focused intensive for students aimed at unlocking innovative solutions and addressing challenges as we seek to redefine the future of cities.
  • Fellows work full-time during this 9-week program with their peers to help further the important research work that the firm is engaged in. Weekly assignments in conjunction with presentations, lectures, small group discussions with Subject Matter Experts and teamwork will make up the weekly programming. Fellows will be broken into small groups and assigned to a specific Practice Area led by three Gensler leaders. 
  • Work here includes case studies, understanding building performance, and measurement of key performance indicators to identify what works
    and what does not as it relates to our building designs. Finally, the Fellows will design for pre-identified KPIs as we rethink the 2.0 versions of our buildings in specific Practice Areas.

  • Create compelling, original works for logos, brochures, magazines, social media graphics and more, such as the college’s spring and fall t-shirts, main entrance banner, and inside illustrations and cover for Catalyst Magazine issues
  • Conceptualise, plan, design and produce online, print and multimedia outputs across multiple complex design projects, ensuring all designs are of high quality and aligned with the college’s branding and design standards
  • Contributed creative ideas to the college’s Marketing and Communications team from the perspectives of a designer and student, and assist the team in designing effective and communicative advertisements for target audiences

Concord Homes (Residential Developer) Intern Architect and Project Assistant MAY 2022-AUG 2022


  • Based in Auckland, New Zealand
  • Aided senior architects with design drawings, floor plans, section      details and elevations for residential projects
  • Edited architectural diagrams and renderings using different software  with assistance from senior architects
  • Oversaw worksites with project managers to ensure everything went as    planned and ensure compliances of council building codes and standards
  • Supported project managers in administrative matters on an ad hoc  basis and took the initiative to seek effective solutions to any problems  that appeared in construction projects
  • Developed preliminary 3D conceptual designs to meet client  requirements and needs based on notes taken and observations made during  initial client consultation meetings with the sales team and the lead  architect
  • Researched new types of building materials and lighting fixtures and  used renderings to illustrate their effects
